CAXA is the CAD and PLM market leader in China with over 25,000 commercial customers and 280,000 installations. Through a well-established channel network of 35 sales and service branches, 600 training centers, and 300 business partners, CAXA develops and markets application software and services to industrial customers in equipment, electronic, electromechanical, automotive, defense, construction, and educational customers. CAXA portfolio consists of product and solutions in design (CAD), process planning (CAPP), manufacturing (CAM, MPM & DNC) and data management (PDM). As a market leader in China, CAXA has received various awards including the highest ¡°Software Gold Award¡± from China Software Industry Association and owns 46 software copyrights and 45 patents and patents pending. Alliance has been a key strategy for CAXA's business model. CAXA focus on its best value-added domain expertise to develop strategic components in its solutions, and supplementing other required technology by working with world leaders in each respective field. There are two categories of CAXA technology alliance: PLM partners and 3rd party partners.
CAXA OEM technology or products from its PLM partners to be included in its solution offerings. In particular, CAXA has entered strategic alliance with DASSAULT SYSTEMES. A "CAXA- DASSAULT SYSTEMES Joint R&D Center" was established in 2004 with the mission of extending PLM value. CAXA V5 PLM is developed on top of DASSAULT SYSTEMES CAA V5 framework and includes CATIA and SMARTEAM product components. 3rd party partners develop add-ons on top of CAXA's platform.
