The Choose a New Context dialog enables you to set another location in the directory server where Oracle entries are stored.

Net8 entries are stored under an Oracle Context entry, cn=OracleContext, in the directory tree. It contains entries for Oracle objects, including net service names and database service names. By default, Net8 Assistant tries to use the Oracle Context configured by Net8 Configuration Assistant during installation.

Directory Naming Context

From the list, select a directory naming context that contains the Oracle Context you want to view.

Oracle Context

From the list, select an Oracle Context. The Oracle Context you select should contain the entries in the directory tree whose networking information you intend to modify or add.

The Directory > Service Naming folder in the navigator pane updates with the network objects of the selected Oracle Context.
