A global database link is a database link that links each database in a network to all other databases. This enables any user of any database in the network to specify a global object name in a SQL statement or object definition. The Links tab enables you to query for, add, or remove a global database link.

| Select to create a new global database link. Specify the database link name in
the DB Link Name field, and a valid user name and password credentials for the database in the User and Password fields.

| Select to remove the global database link specified in the DB Link Name field.

| Choose to perform the global database link query, add, or remove operation.

| Enter the global database link to query, add or remove.

| Enter the global database user name when adding a global database link

| Enter the password for the database user name when adding a global database
link.

| DB Qualifiers button
| Choose to create or remove a link qualifier. A link qualifier is appended to a global database link to provide alternate
settings for the database user name and password credentials. Link qualifiers
are primarily for older Oracle database environments where multiple database
links are used. Rather than use multiple database links, multiple link qualifiers
can be created for a database link.
