To start or stop an Oracle Names server:

1. In the navigator pane, expand Net8 Configuration > Oracle Names Servers.

2. Select the Oracle Names server.

3. From the list in the right pane, select Manage Server.

4. Select the Control tab.

5. If a password was set, as described in Configure Password Authentication for an Oracle Names Server, choose Set Password to set the password.

6. Choose Start or Shutdown.

7. Choose Apply.
