Use this pane to:
Create more properties for a new attribute
Change more properties for a new attribute based upon one you have selected (Create Like)
Change more properties of an existing attribute you have selected
Note: Base schema attributes cannot be changed.
Note: Not all of these properties require values. Also, if you choose to assign a super attribute, its properties will be inherited by this attribute.
Check the Indexed box if you want to add this attribute to the index so that it can be used in a search. If the attribute is not indexed, it cannot be used in a search.
Important: You can choose to index an attribute only when you create it. You cannot go back later to index it. Similarly, if an attribute has been indexed and then you drop the index, you cannot add it back again.
The default Usage value for a new attribute is userApplications. If this is an operational attribute, choose the appropriate value from the drop list.
Ordering, Equality, and Substring are all matching rules. Select the appropriate values from the drop boxes.
