Local Access

This pane displays any local Access Control Items (ACIs) assigned to the entry. Local ACIs control who can see and modify the entry and its attributes. You can add or modify local ACIs using the Structural Access and Content Access fields. Entry level ACIs take precedence over Subtree Access Control Points (ACPs).

Structural Access Items control access to the entries in the information tree.

Content Access Items control access to the data stored in an entry (that is, the attributes).

Note: Access to an entry and its attributes can also be determined by Access Control Points (ACPs) in the entry or in entries higher in the information tree. Select the Subtree Access tab to see and change any ACP in this entry. Or select Subtree Access Management in the Navigator pane to see all the ACPs in the directory.
