Use this Search pane to set the Entry Filters that identify the entries to which access is allowed or denied.
For example, if you want to deny access to all entries in the organizational unit (ou) called Payroll, set the filter to ou = Payroll.
In an ACP, the access rights defined apply to the entry and all its subentries unless other filters restrict access further.

Note: If you are setting local access rules, you do not need to use the entry filter. Use the other tabs to set local access rights. Also, if you do not create any entry filters, the access rights you create in this ACP apply to the entry and all its subentries. |

When you have set the filters you want, click the By Whom tab to determine who is granted or denied access to the entries you have specified, and click the Access Rights tab to set the permissions you wish.
