Structural Access By Whom

Select the By Whom tab to specify to whom or what you are granting access (that is, the subject).

Choose the appropriate Bind Mode from the list if you want to require an authentication method. Choices are

None

no authentication required

SSL No Authentication

no SSL authentication required

SSL One Way

directory server authenticates to client

SSL Two Way

client and directory server authenticate to each other

Simple

password only

If you do not set an authentication method, or choose None, any kind of authentication is accepted.

Choose the subject from the following list:

Everyone

all those who try to access this entry

A specific group

a previously defined group name

A specific entry

a previously defined entry

A subtree

an entire subtree in the Directory, which you must select

When Session User’s Distinguished Name (DN) Is Identified By Attribute

anyone whose DN is an attribute in the entry. For example, you might want to grant read access to a group entry to members of the group

When Session User’s Distinguished Name (DN) Matches the Accessed Entry

anyone who has correctly logged in as the entry specified
