Configure Server: General

The General tab enables you to configure or modify general features for an Oracle Names server.

Name

Displays the name of the Oracle Names server

Password

Indicates if a password for this Oracle Names server was set.

Change Password button

Choose to set or change the password. This way, privileged commands, such as restarting the Oracle Names server or stopping the Oracle Names server, used from NAMESCTL will require a password. The Net8 Assistant sets an encrypted password.
