Run the Assistant in Stand-Alone Mode

Typically, Net8 Configuration Assistant is launched by the Oracle Universal Installer after installation.

Net8 Configuration Assistant can run in stand-alone mode at any time to configure basic elements of the network including the listener protocol addresses, naming methods, net service names in a tnsnames.ora file, or directory server access.

To run Net8 Configuration Assistant in stand-alone mode:

  1. Start Net8 Configuration Assistant:

  2. Select one of the options in the Welcome page, and then choose Next.
