Attributes define schema properties you store for each Directory entry. You can view all existing attributes, and you can set up new attributes to incorporate into new or existing object classes.
To create a new attribute:
In the Navigator pane, click Schema Management, then click the Attributes tab in the right pane.
Click Create or select an attribute from which you would like to copy and click Create Like.
The New Attribute window appears.

Remember that to use a new attribute, you must assign it to an object class. You can do this from the Object Classes pane in this pane group.
