Adding and Changing Configuration Set Entries

Configuration set entries contain the parameter values that govern directory server instances.

To create a new configuration set entry without basing it on a previously created one:

  1. In the Navigator window, expand Oracle Internet Directory Servers > server instance > Server Management and select either Directory Server or Replication Server

  2. Click the Create button in the toolbar or the Create button at the bottom of the pane. The Configuration Sets dialog box appears.

  3. Fill in values for each of the fields on the General, Debug Flags, and SSL Settings tab pages.

  4. Click OK.

To create a new configuration set entry based on a previously created one:

  1. In the Navigator window, expand Oracle Internet Directory Servers > server instance > Server Management > [Directory Server | Replication Server]

  2. Select the configuration set entry from which you want to copy.

  3. Click the Create Like button in the tool bar or the Create Like button at the bottom of the right pane. The Configuration Sets dialog box appears.

  4. Either change the previous values for the attributes, or add new values in the General, Debug Flags, and SSL Settings tab pages.

  5. Click OK.

To change configuration set entries:

  1. In the Navigator pane, expand Oracle Internet Directory Servers > server instance > Server Management > [Directory Server | Replication Server]

  2. Select the configuration set entry you want to change. The configuration set parameters appear in the group of tab pages in the right pane.

  3. Change the attribute in question, and save the configuration set entry.

Important: If the configuration set entry that you changed is currently in use by an active directory process, you must stop and restart that process for your changes to become effective.
