When you click the Drop Index button, an alert appears to ask you to confirm that you want to drop the index. This is for your protection, because when an index is dropped from an attribute, it cannot be restored. An attribute can be indexed only when it is created.
If you click Yes, the index is dropped.
If you click No, the Drop Index request is canceled.
