Attributes define schema properties that you can assign to entries in the Oracle Internet Directory. The full list shown in this pane contains attributes that were delivered with this product (called the base schema) and attributes that you create.
To view attributes:
In the Navigator pane, select Schema Management. In the right pane, click the Attributes tab.
The properties of the attributes are displayed in columns. You can scroll right to see all the columns.
To sort the pane contents by any column, click the heading of that column. For example, if you want to see all the attributes that have a usage type of directoryOperation, click the Usage column heading to group those attributes together.

To change the schema definition for an attribute, select the attribute and click Edit.
Note: You cannot edit attributes in the base schema, identified by
.
To create a new attribute, click Create, or select an attribute and select Create Like. See Attribute Properties--General .
To find an attribute with certain properties, click Find Attributes. See Find Attributes .
To drop the index for an attribute, click Drop Index. Dropping the index will make the attribute unable to be found in a search.
Caution: Once an index has been dropped, it cannot be reinstated. Use this choice with care.
