Matching rules specify how the Directory Server determines whether two values for an attribute match. The schema definition of each attribute specifies which matching rule is employed to compare values.
Matching rules cannot be modified.
To see the Matching Rules pane, click Schema Management in the Navigator pane, then click the Matching Rules tab in the right pane.
Each matching rule has the following fields (field names are shown as column heads):
