WEB DOWNLOADER

Manage all your Internet downloads, downloading form either
'http', 'https' or 'ftp' sites.

You can select how fast, how many simultaneous downloads, were
to save files to, change file names, etc.

Drag and drop links from web browser to window, one at a time,
or a large selection all together, and the software will extract
and add each and all available links from the droped selection.

Or monitor the clipboard for links to add from elsewhere..
So you just 'copy' a link to 'memory' from your browser or
from anywhere else, and it immediately shows on the software's
window, ready to download.

Can Stop and Resume downloads at will.

Supports downloading through a Proxy, with or without user
authentication, configured on the 2nd page of preferences.

Supports also user authentication for secure webpages, or
any page that requires it, as well as configurable 'referrer'
all on the 'Edit' dialog.

Can get original file date and time from download server
and keep it on downloaded files, among - a lot of - other
nice things.

Also gets the correct filename for items added, for those
URL that redirect the user to another place.

If you can, set the "Get real file 'data' on adding" option
always select in preferences, as this will immediately get
you the correct file name, file size and date of any file added.

You should check all options in 'preferences', as they let you
configure almost everything necessary to not even see the
software's window.
And there are too many options to describe here ;-) So to see
what each option is for, just hover your mouse over it and a
small hint window will show with a more detailed explanation.

Window can be resized to a very small space, with option to
stay on top for easier work. May show it's icon in the tray
instead of the windows taskbar and can add, rename, download
all, stop and exit, always in minimized state.

Also has a new utility to add a context menu item to your
browser, turning it into a more user-friendly way to add links.

Keyboard keys: 'enter' for 'go', 'escape' for 'stop',
'shift+insert' or 'ctrl+v' for 'paste', 'insert' for 'add',
'ctrl+e' for 'edit', 'ctrl+a' for 'selectall', 'alt+x' for 'exit'

It downloads well, fast and safely, as far as I could test it,
using threads for faster work. And has plenty of options for
every kind of use. Anyway, it is Free!

It requires no instalation whatsoever, and can even be used from
a usb pen drive or portable disk, if you like. Just note that if
you use it from any portable device, you must check the option
on preferences to 'use default save path' or, better, the one to
'use relative paths', as like this you can download irespective
of the drive letter changing from one computer to the other.

And, if you would like to see this software being improved,
just send your suggestions, questions, etc...

--------------------------
Install / Uninstall

I never liked programs that install files all over the hard disk;
To install the program, you only have to copy the files to a suitable
directory, and then run it from there. (see notes below)

To uninstall, you only have to delete the directory you created and
the files within, and... that's all !

--------------------------
Important notes!

You must extract all the files from the zip archive to a folder or
directory in which you - the user that is going to run the program -
has read and write permissions. This is importanto, with Windows
Vista and all above OS's, or else you might run in trouble when
the program tries to write it's configuratons to disk.

If you want to read the accompanying .chm help file and, after
opening it there is nothing showing, that's because Windows doesn't
allow it to show. Just select the file from Windows Explorer, right
click and see it's properties. Click 'unblock' near the bottom and
it'll work just fine afterwards.

--------------------------
Running it

It is easy! If it is your first use, then just click on the
'preferences' button on the tool bar and choose at least a 'save path'
on your disk to save downloaded files to - you can click on the
'use default save path, and it will choose one for you (just hoover
your mouse over any option, and a small 'hint' window will show what
it is for.

Then, just add links to files you want to download from the internet
to the 'web downloader' window. For this, you have several options:
drag and drop links from the browser (internet explorer most likely)
to the software's window, or copy the link and click on the 'add'
button on the toolbar to add it.

Press 'go' button, and the selected links will download.
